First big update! v0.2 released


"'Bout time!"

After some issues with Unity and just personal stuff, I finally finished the first big update for Necromancy Overload! Some things still need some polish, such as the game over screen, but I focused mostly on gameplay improvements. I'd love to get some feedback on the new stuff!

Gameplay

  • AI for enemies has been added
  • New enemy: Recruit
  • Weapon system has been simplified to just charging the weapon rather than 2 separate weapons
  • Overload explosions have increased size for easier chains
  • Updated scoring system
  • Added chaos orbs: restore mana and bonus points
  • Updated map layout
  • Graves and their skulls can no longer be damaged, instead there are now 8 skulls near the ritual that will act as last-resort defences
  • Difficulty options added

Menu

  • Options menu has been updated and volume sliders work properly now
  • Updated tutorial menu
  • Updated codex menu
  • CHANGED THE TEXT OF THE MENUS SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO STRAIN YOUR EYES AS MUCH CONSTANTLY TRYING TO READ ALL CAPS

There's been a lot of work put into this, so I hope you enjoy it.
